I am Anoma Modak, a Psychologist in Kolkata practicing since 2017. I also have 10 years teaching experience as an Academic Tutor/Educator. I have completed my Post Graduation in Psychology from University of Calcutta and presently pursuing B.ed in Spl. Ed (RCI), Dissexuality Therapy Training from Berlin School of Sexual Health and M.Phil in Clinical Psychology (RCI). I also did Certificate course on Psychiatric Counseling as well as Tele-counselling from Indian Psychoanalytical Society, Basic Certificate course on Graphology from Mind Zone, Psychodynamic course from Crystal Minds, Career Coach Certification from Career Council of India & PosiTips Cafe India Pvt. Ltd., Basic Foundation course in Career Counselling from Mindler, Intensive Training Course on SFBT from ASFAR, Colour Therapy course from Emojar, Diploma in Community Mental Health from NIMHANS. I have participated, moderated, chaired and presented research papers in various seminars, workshops and conferences across the country. I also have some published articles and write-ups on social and mental health issues at the national and international level. I have worked in reputed organizations like Techno India Group of Public School, Seva Kendra Calcutta as Counsellor, as Academic Educator with Powerwithin Education and as Research Assistant in Mira Center for Innovation. I am presently associated with Eastern Zonal Psychological Association as Online Psychologist, with Indian Psychoanalytical Society as Tele-counsellor, with Manav Zameen Foundation as Volunteer Coordinator in Research & Training Wings, a Guest Faculty in Indian Research Institute of Integrated Medicine, as Online Psychologist with Elixir, MeetCounsellor, Zustfine, GoodPsyche, PsychologyIndia, Buck-Up, Zoylu and Bajaj Health Finserv, as Career Counsellor with EduGuy and Career Naksha. I am presently the Joint Assistant Secretary of the Eastern Zonal Psychological Association, Advisor at National Psychology Community under Jax Foundation, Associate Mentor in World Mental Healthcare Association and Life Associate Member of Indian Psychiatric Society. Apart from these I am also a member of National Academy of Psychology, Indian School Psychology Association, Counsellor Council of India, Indian Psychoanalytical Society and American Psychological Association. In this pandemic situation, I have extended my support to volunteer as an IAHP task force of Psychologists from West Bengal state and also provide free counselling service under IPS. Some of my areas of interest are Adult and Adolescent Counselling, Psychodynamic Study, Graphology, Classroom Management, Relaxation Techniques, Stress management, Attention and Memory Enhancement Colour therapy, Play therapy and many more apart from being indulging in researches in wide range of topics. I have also received best poster research paper award (ICSSR sponsored KNU national conference), Erick Erickson Excellence Award (Redpond Acadamy), and so more.
