Depression

Depression is a more commonly used term to refer to the Major depressive disorder which is a mental illness that is known to be affecting 300 million people across the world. According to the WHO statistics, India is the most depressed country in the entire world. Even though it’s common and also serious mental health issue, it is treatable through psychotherapy and medication. In order to work through depression, we need to know about the common symptoms and reach out to a mental health professional.

Symptoms

The symptoms can look different for everyone but it is crucial to understand the common symptoms associated with depression. The symptoms must be experienced for at least two weeks and affecting your functioning for you to be diagnosed with depression.
